Dr. Frank Forgnoni, owner of Innovative Vision Center, has the historic distinction of being the first optometrist in Pendleton, SC. He started this office in 2006. It is conveniently located about 5 miles from the Clemson Campus.

 Dr. Forgnoni is pleased to raise the standard of vision care in the Golden Corner with innovative state-of-the-art vision care, especially for those with complex vision problems requiring vision therapy, low vision care, and vision shaping treatment. In addition, routine vision services are provided for children and adults, including: vision exams, glasses, contacts, treatment of eye diseases, and co-management of surgery. His office features unique sunglasses with the Clemson University tiger paw logo; and he has specialized telescopic, magnifying glasses which can help to view sports events easier. 

 Dr. Forgnoni is the only optometrist in the Greenville area who is Fellowship Trained in Vision Therapy and Vision Development, and one of the only five in SC. He holds two advanced certificates  of training, Fellowship, related to Vision Therapy (VT). VT has been in existence for over 100 years. VT is especially helpful to individuals who suffered partial loss of vision following a stroke or traumatic brain injury, individuals with reading problems including those diagnosed with dyslexia, attention deficit disorder, learning disabilities, and development disabilities. VT is also effective in improving sports performance for children and adults athletes.

 Dr. Forgnoni is a member of the American Optometric Association and the SC Optometric Association. He has lectured nationally on various vision topics, including the use of vision therapy to assist patients with autism and learning disabilities. His publications include " Protecting Vision in Lyme Disease" and "Computer Vision Syndrome Growing."

 Dr. Forgnoni has participated in volunteer vision evaluations for the Jr. Olympics, the Special Olympics, and through the Lion's Club. He has held several national leadership positions within the profession of optometry, including: State Coordinator of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and State Director of the Optometric Extension Program.  In 2005 he was the Clinical Director for an international vision therapy company in Boca Raton, FL. Previously; he owned his solo optometry practice for several years near Wilmington, DE. 

In May, 2009, Dr. Forgnoni was commissioned as a Captain in the US Army Reserves. He currently serves as an Optometrist at the Greenville Army Reserve Center.
